Candidates' Night 2020

Meet those looking for your votes

Thursday, Feb 13 @ 7pm

This annual event serves as an opportunity for you to meet the candidates and ask questions to find out where the candidates stand on the issues that are important to you.

Candidates Night

Thursday, February 13 starting at 7 PM at the Clarke Middle School

Candidates' Night is an annual event organized by the League of Women Voters of Lexington to provide Town Meeting and Town-Wide Office candidates an opportunity to present their positions on issues and to listen to constituents' concerns.

  • 7:00pm to 7:30pm - coffee and conversation and a special celebration of both the 75th anniversary of Lexington's Candidates' Night and the 100th Birthday of the National League on February 14.
  • 7:30pm to 8:15pm - precinct meetings for Town Meeting candidates and interested voters.
  • 8:15pm - participants will gather in the Clarke auditorium to hear the views of candidates seeking town-wide elective office. We are changing the format of this year's town wide forum as there are no contested seats. We will invite all the members of the Select Board, School Committee, Planning Board, Housing Authority and Moderator to come to the stage and take questions from the League and from the audience.

The evening is open to the public and will be a Zero Waste Event.

The evening promises to be informative and to provide a lively forum for discussion of topics that may be voted on at Town Meeting.

To get to Clarke Middle School: Take Brookside Avenue off Waltham Street, park in the school parking lot, and enter the school at the main entrance or lower entrance. Additional parking is available on some parts of Allen Street.

Please note that there is no snow date.
