Question for Town Meeting candidates:
The Sustainable Residential Incentives Warrant Article would reduce the allowable size of new one- and two- family residential construction projects that could be built without incorporating essential sustainability features, but would allow the construction of new one- and two- family homes up to the current maximum gross floor area, if they incorporate newly defined performance standards for energy efficiency, sustainability, and on-site fossil-fuel use. Additions, renovations or other modifications to existing homes would not be affected by this proposed zoning article. Would you support this article? Why or why not?
